Mini-Backsass In the Confederacy, and in the South before the Confederacy, slaves were not "trash, disposable at will."  It was against the law to murder or mistreat them.  In fact, the law compelled Masters to support slaves in sickness and old age when they could no longer work -- a 19th century precursor to Medicare and Medicaid?   IMO, Steinback is ignoring the truth in order to hate-monger.  Therefore, he receives the Hate-Monger of the Month Award.
